Locating Obituaries

The majority of obituaries in the Canadian Obituaries scrapbooks appeared in major Canadian newspapers, such as The Globe and Mail or The Toronto Daily Star. These newspapers may be available at your local public library, either in microfilm or online.

If you cannot locate the obituary you want locally, you may request a photocopy of the scrapbook entry through your public library's interlibrary loan service. Please provide the person's name, date of death, and the volume and page number[s] for Canadian Obituaries. There are no full-text obituaries available for William Henry Pearson records or William Stewart Wallace records; however, some of Wallace's records include sources. Consult the Bibliography for a full citation to his sources.
